idtrac® offers Access Control Solutions using the Card Technology. Typically information like a person’s picture, name, and employee id number is printed on a card the size of a credit card. This card can also have magnetic stripe or a barcode. The card is swiped to gain access to an area.
These cards can be made of plastic, polyester, PVC, paper, even some amalgamation of materials. They are printed on-site or off-site using Dye Diffusion Thermal Transfer (D2T2) direct to card printing.
Combined with Biometrics like Automatic finger print identification system (AFIS) a very secure access control solution can be installed.
